I've spent three decades inside organisations where the stakes were real.
Watching brilliant people make expensive mistakes not because they lacked intelligence or commitment, but because nobody in the room was asking the right questions. I became the person who asks them.
It turns out I'm wired for it. I see patterns before they're obvious, connections between things that look unrelated, and futures that haven't arrived yet but are already taking shape. That's not a skill I developed. It's how I process the world. And for the leaders, teams and organisations I work with, it means I often see what they can't - not because they're not smart enough, but because they're standing too close to it.
That's the work. Strategy, leadership and the future - not as separate disciplines, but as a single system that either moves together or quietly fails together. I don't tell you what to do. I challenge you to see what you haven't been willing to see, and then I build alongside you the capability to act on it with courage and clarity. My clients don't leave with my answers. They leave with something more valuable - their own, arrived at with more rigour and more honesty than they'd have managed alone.
